FAQ 1) How will I know my application has been received?

Every application is acknowledged by email. There’s no need to phone us to check

FAQ 2)  What if I know someone at Lucas TCS who can refer me?

We are happy to receive applications from people who have been prompted to apply. The usual process will still apply but please mention in your cover letter or email who referred you. 

FAQ 3)  What if I don’t have a resume?

 It is a basic expectation that an applicant will submit a resume, preferably with a brief covering letter or email. Please ensure your resume is up-to-date and your contact details are correct. Please only submit attachments in Word or PDF.  If having a resume is a problem for you, we can provide an Employment Application form upon request.  SMS applications are not acceptable.

FAQ 4)  I don’t have access to a computer or an email address. How do I apply?

All correspondence between Lucas TCS and candidates is by email. Candidates without a computer / internet access should use computers available at libraries or internet cafes. You can also register for a free email account with providers such as Google, Yahoo or Microsoft Outlook.

FAQ 5)  What are the minimum requirements to work at Lucas TCS?

They vary depending on the role, but these are some basic requirements:

Valid SA Driver’s License is essential for site based positions and all Maintenance positions.

Load shifting tickets for plant operations.

MC licence for road transport positions.

FAQ 6)  Where are the jobs?

Our projects can be across metropolitan Adelaide and also in remote areas of Australia.  Allowances and travel costs are paid by Lucas TCS when employees are required to work away from home, for example on a FIFO 14:7 roster. Employees who work on metro Adelaide projects will need to be able to work anywhere within the metro area .

FAQ 7)  Is a Drug Screen part of the process?

Yes. It is strict company policy to not be under the influence of drugs at work (prescription, over the counter and illicit drugs).  A drug screen is a standard requirement of every pre-employment medical.

FAQ 8)  What if I’m interested in more than one position that’s advertised?

Provided you meet the requirements of the jobs, you can apply for more than one position.  Your application will be considered against each job for which you apply.
